Diamondbacks vs The Rams

Diamondbacks played the Rams the other day and suffered a tough loss. It was a exciting game that we lost by 2 points. Here are a couple of pictures from the game.
Here is Kyle taking it to the hole and getting an AND1.
It is hard to see but that is Justin on his usual fast break. He is really good at beating the defense down the court.
We had to re-focus our efforts during the huddle.

Cameron is one of our best inbounders and keeps everyone moving around on the inbounds plays.
Justin our point guard, decided we needed a timeout  to figure things out with just a few minutes left.
Here is Dom, look at that form, "cookie jar".
There are only a few more games in the rest of the season so wish us luck.

On Friday we were privileged to see 2 more students successfully complete the "real life transition program"!
Chris and Ryan were both really excited to be leaving and getting started with the "new chapter" of their lifes, but at the same time they are going to miss the friends and staff at DRA.
Chris gave some really good advice to the students that were staying behind at DRA. " Make sure you stay positive, it seems like yesterday I was getting dropped off and now I'm leaving".
Ryan did an awesome job with his speech and his advice was" Be real with your therapist and program director, or it will be a long road for you". We are going to miss these guys and wish them well.

Basketball "Scenic Tour" !!

The basketball team went on a trip on Wednesday. We Panguitch High School call and want to play us so we jumped in the van and started on our way. When we were driving we noticed a large storm in front of us and we called to get a weather report and the report we got was "the roads were fine to travel but go slow." This report came from the local weather service. Then we started to climb up the mountian pass to get to teh school and the snow started to come down harder and faster. So we made the call to the school and let them know we would not be coming. Here are some pictures of our little adventure. The team loved it and we had some pretty interesting things happen.
This what the road looked like when we turned around and cancelled the game.
Even though we were only going 15 mph the ice still built up on the mirrors!
On our way back we saw this Jeep off the side of the road and the boys really wanted to help and so we all jumped out and started to push. The man was really thankful and had been there for awhile in the cold.
The guys were troopers and they got the man out and he started on his merry way. It was awesome to see the boys attitude even after the game was cancelled they still had an awesome attitude and even "served others" (graduate level theme). We all made it back safe and no one was hurt, so it went well and the boys can't wait to go back and play.
